Personalized Smart Ticket

Here is the perfect solution for the manufacturing of personalized smart tickets in high volume: A total manufacturing solution including inlay assembly, ticket converting and personalization. The core of the RFID ticket is NXP’s famous MIFARE® Ultralight chip – a proven standard

in RFID ticketing applications based on the ISO 14443 protocol. RFID ticket inlays are assembled on Datacon’s 8800 FC Smart Line. The ticket converting is implemented on Melzer’s ST-400 line, and a CHIPLINE from Atlantic-Zeiser creates the identity.

Smart Product

Smart contactless tickets are both convenient and efficient for passengers. By keeping their ticket in the pocket and walking past a reader barrier they can easily enter their chosen bus, underground or train station without stopping and creating a queue. MIFARE® Ultralight is especially designed for limited use applications and can contain multiple-ride or time-based tickets that can be disposed after expiring.

NXP will further extend its MIFARE® product portfolio with low cost chip solutions. It is expected that MIFARE® Ultralight 2 supporting bigger memory size and more security (3DES authentication) will be launched end of 2008.
